Photo tips

The cat photo that works

For duo templates, use two different cats in two photos. Cats that look alike can swap markings, so check both dancers before downloading.

Works well

  • One cat per photo. Face, both ears and front paws visible. Sitting or standing both work.
  • Looking toward the camera. Eyes and face shape are what make the dancer look like your cat.
  • Sharp and well lit. Fur pattern carries the likeness, so skip filters that change it.

Often fails

  • Curled-up sleeping cats. A hidden face or tucked paws leaves too much to guess.
  • Motion blur. A cat mid-jump blurs the markings the video needs.
  • Dark cat, dim room. Black and dark tabby coats lose detail in low light.
  • Two cats in one frame. Duo templates take a separate photo for each cat.

AI cat dance questions

How do I make my cat dance with AI?

Pick a cat dance template on this page, upload a clear photo of your cat and start the generation. There is no prompt to write and nothing to edit: the template sets the dance, scene and camera, and your photo sets how your cat looks. You get a 13–23-second video in about 10–15 minutes.

Is there an AI cat dance generator app I need to install?

No. Vellm is an AI cat dance generator that runs in the browser on your phone or computer, so there is nothing to install. Upload the photo, pay with a one-time credit pack and download the finished MP4 with no watermark.

How much does an AI cat dance video cost?

Each template shows its price before you start. 50 credits (Tecktonik Cat Dance, Hotel Lobby Cat Duo, La Calabaza Pet Dance, and Silent Hill Pet Cosplay): $4.49 for a 50-credit pack; 100 credits (Smalltown Boy and A2O LITE NEON Dance): $7.99 for a 100-credit pack, or $6.99 on a first purchase. With the 600-credit pack ($39.99) it works out at $3.33 for a 50-credit video and $6.67 for a 100-credit video. Prices are in USD before tax, and no subscription is needed.

Which cat photo works best?

One cat per photo, in good light, facing the camera, with the face, both ears and the front paws visible. Avoid tight face crops, motion blur, dark coats in dim rooms and filters that change the fur colour.

Can two cats dance together?

Yes. Hotel Lobby Cat Duo and Silent Hill Pet Cosplay need two photos, one pet in each. Smalltown Boy and A2O LITE NEON Dance take one or two cat photos; leave the second empty and AI creates the partner. La Calabaza Pet Dance takes one to three photos, so up to three cats can dance in one line-up. A cat and a dog also work in the multi-pet templates.

Does the video include the trending song?

No. Every export is silent. Add the trending sound from TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts when you post, and line it up with the first move.

Were the videos on this page made with Vellm?

Some were. The videos under “Real results from cat photos” and the Smalltown Boy and A2O LITE NEON Dance template previews are Vellm output. The viral originals, and every template preview credited to a TikTok creator, are clips by those creators, shown with their original sound, credit and a link to the post. They were not made with Vellm.

Which AI makes the video, and what if it goes wrong?

Videos are generated with Seedance 2.5. AI can change markings, ears or paws during fast moves, so watch the whole clip before you download. A failed generation returns its credits. AI results vary, and a new generation uses credits. If you run into a technical problem, email support@vellm.app.
