Photo tips

The photo that works

Each card shows how many photos it takes and whether it wants you or your pet. Only use photos of people who agreed to it.

Works well

  • One person, head to toe. Costume walks and dances move the whole body, so keep your arms, legs and feet in the frame.
  • Facing the camera. A sharp, front-facing face keeps the likeness through the costume change.
  • Good light, no filter. Daylight or a bright room. Spooky light is added by the template, not by your photo.

Often fails

  • Masks and face paint. Most templates add the costume; a covered face loses your likeness.
  • Group photos. Use one person per photo.
  • Blur or a dark room. Motion blur and low light lose the face the video needs.
  • Tight selfies. The costume templates have to invent your body and outfit.

AI Halloween video questions

Can I make a Halloween costume video from one photo?

Yes. Corpse Bride AI, Nightwing Trend AI, and Malfoid AI each start from one photo of you and add the costume, so you do not need to wear one. Ramalama Costume Walk AI is different: you walk in the outfit from your photo, or add a photo of a costume as photo 2. You get a 7–14-second video in about 10–15 minutes.

How do I make an AI Halloween video?

Pick a template on this page, upload a clear photo of you and start the generation. There is no prompt to write and nothing to edit: the template sets the costume, scene and camera, and your photo sets who is in it.

When is Halloween 2026?

Halloween 2026 is on Saturday, October 31. A video takes about 10–15 minutes to make, so you can make it on the day and post it the same evening.

How much does an AI Halloween video cost?

Each template shows its price before you start. 50 credits (Ramalama Costume Walk AI, Corpse Bride AI, AI Werewolf, Spooky Scary Skeletons Dance, Nightwing Trend AI, Malfoid AI, and Day of the Dead Pet): $4.49 for a 50-credit pack. With the 600-credit pack ($39.99) it works out at $3.33 for a 50-credit video. Prices are in USD before tax, and no subscription is needed.

Can I make a Halloween video of my pet?

Yes. Day of the Dead Pet takes one photo of your pet, and some people templates have a Pets version on their own page.

Which photo works best for an AI Halloween video?

One person per photo, in good light, facing the camera, with the whole body in the frame and nothing over the face. Skip masks and face paint: most templates add the look.

Is the video silent?

Yes. Every export is silent. Add the sound when you post on TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.

Do I need an account?

No. Pay once at checkout with your email address and we email you the link to your video. Buying once as a guest starts no subscription.

Were the videos on this page made with Vellm?

No. The viral originals, and every template preview credited to a TikTok creator, are clips by those creators, shown with their credit and a link to the post. They were not made with Vellm.

Which AI makes the video, and what if it goes wrong?

Videos are generated with Seedance 2.5. AI can change faces, hands or costume details during fast moves, so watch the whole clip before you download. A failed generation returns its credits. AI results vary, and a new generation uses credits. If you run into a technical problem, email support@vellm.app.
