Photo tips

The dog photo that works

Small breeds, puppies and big dogs all work. Your dog keeps its own size and shape, so the moves can look different from the original.

Works well

  • One dog, whole body. Face, both ears, legs and front paws in the frame. Standing or sitting both work.
  • Facing the camera. A sharp face matters most: several routines end on a close-up.
  • Good light, no filter. Daylight or a bright room keeps the coat colour and markings true.

Often fails

  • Tight face crops. The template has to invent the body, legs and paws.
  • Dark coat, dim room. Black and brown dogs lose their markings in low light.
  • Hidden ears or paws. Hands, blankets, costumes and harnesses over the head or legs.
  • Two dogs in one photo. Use one photo per pet; the duo template takes two photos.

AI dog dance questions

How do I make my dog dance with AI?

Pick a dog dance template on this page, upload a clear photo of your dog and start the generation. There is no prompt to write and nothing to edit: the template sets the dance, scene and camera, and your photo sets how your dog looks. You get a 12–19-second video in about 10–15 minutes.

Is there an AI dog dancing app I need to install?

No. Vellm is an AI dog dance generator that runs in the browser on your phone or computer, so there is nothing to install. Upload the photo, pay with a one-time credit pack and download the finished MP4 with no watermark.

How much does an AI dog dance video cost?

Each template shows its price before you start. 50 credits (Bad Times Dog Dance, Billie Jean Dog Dance, La Calabaza Pet Dance, and Silent Hill Pet Cosplay): $4.49 for a 50-credit pack; 100 credits (Single Ladies Dog Dance): $7.99 for a 100-credit pack, or $6.99 on a first purchase. With the 600-credit pack ($39.99) it works out at $3.33 for a 50-credit video and $6.67 for a 100-credit video. Prices are in USD before tax, and no subscription is needed.

Which dog photo works best?

One dog per photo, in good light, facing the camera, with the face, both ears and the legs and front paws visible. Avoid tight face crops, motion blur, dark coats in dim rooms and filters that change the fur colour.

Can I use two dogs, or a dog and a cat?

Yes, with the right template. Silent Hill Pet Cosplay takes two photos of any species, so two dogs or a dog and a cat both work. La Calabaza Pet Dance takes one to three photos: one pet becomes all three dancers, or two or three pets share the line-up. The other dog templates take one photo of one dog.

Does the video include the trending song?

No. Every export is silent. Add the trending sound from TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts when you post, and line it up with the first move.

Were the videos on this page made with Vellm?

Some were. The videos under “A real result from a dog photo” are Vellm output. The viral originals, and every template preview credited to a TikTok creator, are clips by those creators, shown with their original sound, credit and a link to the post. They were not made with Vellm.

Which AI makes the video, and what if it goes wrong?

Videos are generated with Seedance 2.5. AI can change markings, ears or paws during fast moves, so watch the whole clip before you download. A failed generation returns its credits. AI results vary, and a new generation uses credits. If you run into a technical problem, email support@vellm.app.
