How we test templates
When we test a template, the Vellm team makes a video with it the way a customer would, then checks it before the template stays live. Not every template has been tested this way yet; the records below are the tests we publish.
What a test checks
- Test photos. We use photos of people and pets made with AI for testing, or photos of our own team. Never a customer's photo: customer videos are private and are deleted after 7 days.
- Same setup as an order. Tests run exactly as a customer order does, at HD, the default quality.
- The lead's face in every shot. We check frames across the whole video, not a few stills, to see that the person or pet from the photo stays the lead, including right after each cut.
- Cuts, length and moves. The cuts land where the original clip cuts, the video runs the template's full length, and the moves follow the original.
- No watermark or stray text. The video must have no watermark, logo or text the template does not call for.
- Failures go back. A test that fails any check sends the template back for changes, and the template is tested again.
Most customer videos are ready in about 7 minutes. If a generation fails, its credits come back automatically.
