How to make the champagne birthday AI video from one photo

By Vellm ·

The champagne birthday trend is a ten-second clip shot at night in a park. Someone walks in holding a bottle at their side, sits down on a low bench, and a tall jet of champagne shoots straight up. At that moment the whole clip drops to black and white. There is no text on it, so the birthday goes in your caption.

To make your own version, open the Champagne Birthday template and upload one full-body photo of the birthday person. You get a 10-second vertical video (9:16) for 50 credits. You do not need a bottle, a park or a second person to film.

What happens, beat by beat

TimeWhat you see
0–2 sThe birthday person walks in from the right, bottle held low in one hand. The park is dark, with trees and lit houses behind.
2–3.25 sThey sit down on the bench, bottle still in hand at their side.
3.25–3.5 sThe jet shoots straight up and the clip turns black and white.
3.5–7.25 sThe jet keeps going while they sit still and look at the camera.
7.5–10 sThe spray falls away and they hold the pose, smiling, to the end.

The switch comes about three and a half seconds in, right after they sit. Everything before it is just a walk, so the pop lands hard. There is no countdown, no candles and no text.

Which photo to use

One photo is enough. Photo 1 becomes the person who walks to the bench and sits.

Pick a full-body photo, head to shoes. The walk-in shows the whole person, so a cropped selfie leaves the legs and shoes to guesswork. The face and outfit should be clear and in good light, and the video keeps the outfit from the photo, so choose the outfit you want to be seen in.

Keep it to one person in the photo; if you crop someone out of a group shot, check that the crop still shows the whole body. Standing or sitting both work. The template makes the walk and the sit, so you do not need a walking photo.

The park, the bench and the bottle come from the original clip. The background of your photo does not appear.

Use your own photo, or a photo of someone who has agreed to appear. If you are making it as a surprise for a friend, ask first. It is their face on their birthday.

Make it in Vellm

  1. Open the Champagne Birthday template and play the preview.
  2. Add Photo 1, the birthday star.
  3. Check the price: 50 credits. No account is needed for a one-time purchase.
  4. Generate. It usually takes about 10–15 minutes.
  5. Watch it through and check that the face and outfit match the photo. The jet and the black-and-white switch follow the original.
  6. Download it.

Captions and sound

The video has no text on screen, so add the name and age in TikTok or Reels, where you can place it so it does not cover the face.

There are two downloads. Post the silent one and add the trending sound inside the app. The version with the original clip's sound is for personal viewing only.

Champagne birthday or Birthday Car?

These are two different trends. Champagne Birthday is the night-park bench with the bottle and the black-and-white switch, from one photo. Birthday Car is the street at dusk: a black SUV pulls up behind a friend holding a cake, and the driver leans out of the window to blow out the candles. It also ends in black and white. Both are on the AI birthday video page.

What it costs

One Champagne Birthday video is 50 credits. The 50-credit pack covers exactly one, for $6.99. If you are making several, for a group of friends with birthdays coming up, the 600-credit pack works out to $4.58 per video. No subscription is needed. See current pricing for every pack.
